Description
This is an account written by Dr. Finbar O’Callaghan of his personal and professional relationship with the chair of the planning board of NIHE, Dr. Philip Hilliard.
Dr. Finbar O‘Callaghan worked with Dr Philip Hilliard on the planning board of NIHE. Through that connection they became good friends. Dr. Hilliard would often invite Finbar O’Callaghan and his family to holiday with him in Killarney county Kerry. Dr. O’Callaghan wrote an account of the work they did on the planning board of NIHE and of their personal friendship. In 2011 he passed that account onto Dr. Catherine O’Connor.
The piece is as Dr. Finbar O’Callaghan wrote it, with the exception of the last paragraph on page two of the original document. the order of his daughters is: Gretta Hazel and Francis. Dr. Philip Hilliard’s early education was in Northern Ireland not England. These corrections were made at the request of Ms Francis Cooke.
