Printed on back of card: This County town (Adare) is, in general, a place of quiet beauty and rural charm. There are excellent sporting facilities particularly for the angler and the golfer and Limerick contains some of the finest hunting country in Ireland. The city of Limerick stands on the site of an important ford of ancient times, where the Shannon River meets the sea. It is one of the most progressive of Irish cities and an important transport and industrial centre.
