Limerick, where the Shannon river meets the sea is one of the most progressive of Irish cities, where the past and present mingle pleasantly. The history of Limerick dates from the middle of the 9th century when the Danes made a settlement here. Today, Limerick is vibrant offering so many attractions to visitors. Any visitor to Limerick will not be disappointed. Photography: Mike Galligan.
